Pedestrian killed by hit-and-run driver

Fatal pedestrian accident Recently in South Columbus, a woman was struck and killed by a driver who fled the scene. The incident happened during the morning hours on Fairwood Avenue near Smith Road. According to reports, the woman’s body was found by police on the side of the road. Police said the pedestrian was walking alongside the road when she was struck by a car. Apparently, the driver of the car fled the scene. A resident who lives close by said he is concerned with the number of accidents he has seen here over the years.
