Arthur M. Richard III (Arthur) was raised in the Cincinnati area, attending Walnut Hills H.. and then graduating from Cincinnati Country Day School. Arthur received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan. Before pursuing his legal education, Arthur worked in Marketing for H. Wolf & Sons. He then realized that a career in law was his calling.

Arthur graduated from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1993. During the summers during Law School, he was a summer intern for the Honorable Herman J. Weber, U.S. 6th District Court, Cincinnati, Ohio.

Arthur’s legal experience began as an associate attorney at Young & Caldwell LLC. His practice involved various cases, including Family Law, Criminal Law, Bankruptcy, Personal Injury, Real Estate, Probate, Tax Preparation, and general litigation.

Upon returning to Cincinnati from Adams County, Arthur worked at Rendigs Fry Keily and Dennis (Bankruptcy, Family Law, Real Estate Law), and with Macey & Chern (Bankruptcy). In 2001, Arthur founded the Law Office of Arthur M. Richard III, where for the next 20 years, he concentrated his practice on representing individuals in the area of Consumer Bankruptcy.

In 2021, Arthur joined the Godbey Law team and assumed the lead role in our Bankruptcy Law department. Arthur brings a vast amount of experience in Bankruptcy law to our clients. He is passionate about representing individuals who are struggling with financial problems, helping them obtain the Fresh Start that a Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 Bankruptcy provides.

Arthur’s personal interests include the Cincinnati Reds & Bengals, Michigan Wolverines, movies, golf, bowling, and spending time with his wife and their two Labrador Retrievers.
