Janice H. Barr is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and a proud graduate of Oak Hills High School. She attended the University of Cincinnati majoring in International Affairs. Janice graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2002. During law school, she served as an editor of the Immigration and Nationality Law Review, had her comment published in the law review and clerked for a local immigration law firm.
Upon obtaining her JD, Janice began clerking for Magistrate (Judge) Richard A. Bernat. She obtained her knowledge of family law while working as an Attorney for 14 years in both Clermont and Hamilton County Child Support Enforcement Agencies where she specialized in interstate child support cases. Her practice focuses primarily on family law. Janice understands that family law issues are highly personal and sensitive matters that deserve careful consideration. She believes that communication and cooperation is the key to minimizing the level of conflict and to maintaining the parties’ relationships with the child/ren.
Janice’s personal interests include soccer (FC Cincinnati and Bayern Munich), Duke basketball, and spending time with her husband, two children, and two dogs.
