Jonathan P. Dameron
I was born in Newport, Kentucky where I went to St. Stephen’s Elementary School before graduating from Boone County High School in Florence, Kentucky. I graduated from NKU, majoring in Marketing with a minor in Political Science and then went to Chase College of Law.
I am licensed to practice in the State of Ohio and in Federal District Court. Over my 25 year legal career, I have run my solo practice and spent five years each doing Criminal Defense at Schuh & Goldberg, and Domestic Relations with Cathy Cook. My primary practice areas have been Criminal Defense and Domestic Relations, along with some landlord-tenant and wills and probate. I will also be doing Bankruptcy Law at Godbey Law.
I have been involved with the Cincinnati Bar Association, including being on the Board of Trustees, former Chair of the Young Lawyers Section, and a fellow in the Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers. I also have a long history of community and volunteer involvement, including running for Municipal Court Judge. I am currently volunteering at Community Matters in Lower Price Hill and am Secretary of the Clark Montessori School Foundation.
I have attended the prestigious National Criminal Defense College and have presented seminars for the Cincinnati Bar Association, Greater Cincinnati Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Professionally I am most proud of providing consistent, client-centered, zealous, ethical legal services to my clients, treating each of my clients as their case was my only one, similar to the Godbey Law way.
Personally, I am most proud of my two teenage daughters and I am currently teaching my 16 year old how to drive and trying to get them to want to do things with Dad.
I love music and have seen The Rolling Stones 22 times and have about 50 books on them. I am usually modest, but I have to admit that I am also a Rock N Roll Star, being the lead singer for my Punk, Blues, Rockabilly, Rock N Roll Band called DISTURBANCE.
Besides living in Kentucky, I have lived in Price Hill, Delhi, North Avondale and currently live in Clifton. My daughter has a dog named Rocky, who I call Rock Star and who I take care of, and a cat the girls named Kiwi, but I just call Kitty Cat. I play hoop, but not very well. My best skill is hustle. I am also thinking about trying futbol or cricket, although Mark might get me out on the softball field.
