Lee Mercer was born in Virginia and raised in the Stanford, Kentucky area. Although a proud native of the Commonwealth, he quickly fell in love with the Greater Cincinnati Area while attending Northern Kentucky University. Lee’s interest in the law as a career sprouted from his participation in the Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity. Lee graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and an area of concentration in Pre-Law.
Lee obtained his law degree from the University of Dayton. He was a member of the criminal law association before becoming a student attorney for the University of Dayton Civil Law Clinic. As a licensed intern, he executed estate planning documents for clients, and represented defendants in juvenile court. Lee’s time as a law clerk with a local Cincinnati firm gave him five years of experience in the area of personal injury law before joining the team at Godbey Law. Lee’s practice at Godbey Law consists of representing clients primarily in the areas of personal injury and debtor bankruptcy.
Lee enjoys spending time with his fiancé, Jess, collecting vintage trading cards, exercising, and socializing with friends and family. Lee and Jess will be married in June of 2021, expanding the Mercer family!
